Does everything I need it to do and everything it says it can do. It even has a program to straight up create music, although I doubt I'll need that part. The only draw back, is the installation is rather sloppy. There is no reason to not have a generic installer that gives you the ability to install it all, or select the packages you want.
I've seen countless other programs work like that, and it seems to be the standard. The installation process is as follows: 1. Insert Disc - 2. Open disc contents like a folder - 3. Run each installer individually - 4.
Run each program individually to input and register each product key - 6. Update each program - 7. Enjoy your products. It's not the end of the world, but it is a pain in the ass. I have a new PC with a clean operating system, not an old jam-packed slow mule I tried getting customer support and spent another hour trying to locate an e-mail or phone number to get help but none were found.
If there is an e-mail or phone support then it's buried under multiple webpage transfers and is then camouflaged as well. Sony is so big, I assumed they would have at least mediocre customer support. In reality, it is nearly non-obtainable so beware of getting any help. I'm so glad I chose Amazon to purchase it because they are very good at refunding. Thank you Amazon and good-bye Sony Vegas. First of all it has several programs that have to be downloaded one at a time each separate from each other. Still haven't figured out how get all the programs to collaborate with each other, in fact I don't think they do. Second when installing each program, most would not take the serial number supplied and to find any support is totally useless unless you want to pay for a "Service Request" Which is a complete ripoff.
Have sent several request for assistance and so far nothing. Going to request my money back from Amazon. My advice is find yourself another editing program that at least has tech support and is willing to assist it's customers. I have been using the Vegas Movie Studio suite since it was version I prefer to purchase the disc rather than download as I have experienced difficulties with the various version of the program across many years.
This has required that I reinstall Movie Studio from time to time. Purchasers should be advised that when purchasing the disc you may not actually be getting the latest version of the product. In purchasing the 14 Suite I found that it was version So far I have liked this version of the product. It is quite powerful and renders great results when coupled with Sonicfire Pro 6 which is part of the "suite" for Vegas Movie Studio There are many YouTube tutorial videos available for this version which help greatly to maximize its usefulness.
Installation was a nightmare since it automatically changed my email address to another one I use and to which I have a different version of this program verified with.
Had to uninstall and reinstall and computer crashes and loose audio on my PC with every use. Customer support said to send them some files either Sl or SI, I wrote back as to whether they mean sL or Si, with no response or help of any kind. Sent files and after several months I still do not know if anything is going to happen. These guys also put an ad on your computer so every time I reboot an ad pops up for their products.
Afraid to try to delete in fear of screwing the program up more than it already is. I have used Vegas since version 9, or was it 10? Going to keep using my Sony version of this which works with no issues. One person found this helpful. This is a total rip off product. If you buy it you are screwed. It finally arrived today the thirteenth of January. It says I can't return it because it would have to be returned before the thirteenth.
Activation is an impossible boondoggle. There is no helpful help available but if you send them an email they will get back to you in two to four days. Totally hopeless junk cost me fifty bucks and there isn't squat I can to about it. If you buy it you are a fool like me. I had the trial first and I loved it, but there was a problem on the trial. It forces you to download Music Maker that ruined my audio and my Laptop's audio completely stupid and I had to remove music maker.
With this product I had the same problem. It forces you to download 6 other programs all that ruined the audio again and when I finished installing the activation code would not work and said that another email had it and there is other people who had the same problem and no solution.
This product arrived on a Friday so when I asked the company for help their phone line is only in the morning till 5. Then for the only support they only respond on business days and respond within two business days from when the email is sent.
The company is what ruined this product. This software does not actually work. I cant even get media to upload. It just says there was an unknown proxy error or that I am offline.
I tried contacting customer support and cant even leave a message. Obviously this software is useless if I cannot upload anything onto it. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries.
